Demons - Poem by john tiong chunghoo

demons
make my heart
grow legs
and the shadows, tales
the chime of the clock
beat out
the spread of goosebumps
head to toe
froze takes new meaning
seeks shelter
in the heat
of my blanket
i keep the radio on
to chase away demons
