Desert Mirage Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Desert Mirage

Desert m
Desert Mirage

We are mysterious and cunning animal
And move in a doubtful manner among people
Even though, it carries no meaning
I am still inclining

There is no place
For me to race
And enjoy in a manner
To feel happier

But luck would have it
I prefer mirage of desert
I run, like deer, in search of water
But reach nowhere

Mind is restless
And that reflects on face
I trust no one
And care too for none

I hunt aimlessly
And suffer tremendously
I see no future in continuing life
As it has posed me like sharp edge of knife

Yet, I have lost no hope
Even though I have to walk on tightrope
I take full care on slope
But never discontinue or stop

Life has its own role But you got to respond to the call God only knows when will it knock the door? It may make you king even if you were poor
