Deserted Poem by Glen Kappy

Deserted

from "Dreams and Visions"

I'm driving
in the half-light—
not to home
but to a goal.

Except the car
in front of me
the alley
is deserted.

I have to slow—
the car in front
about to turn—
it disappears.

The distant
ringing of a phone
reminds me
I have none.

And then
no sound at all—
in the dim light
none at all.

Engine dead—
the car
is slowing
to a stop…

And then
I wake.

Thanks, Rini. I had this dream just last night. It was vivid enough that I remembered it. As to what it means... Blessings your way. -Glen
