Because of what you have done
every dawn can be as this one—
as fresh, as clean, as full of expectancy and color.
I can look ahead without fear or wincing—
for you lift the lid, the cloudy oppression
from everything that comes my way.
I walk with you—
and you are my sun, my shield, my ever-shining companion
imparting comfort and warmth to all my days.
Thinking long and deeply of how I'm loved
I could tether myself to thought of you and dance round and round
drinking dawns reds and oranges and yellows and blues.
I could dance and spin till I plopped down
most thoroughly, most vibrantly, most happily drunk—
and all because of you.
Aw! Amore, amore, how beautiful the spell of love, specially when it's returned. Big 10+
Specially if it was written for God, even better, since he is the manufacturer of love, he is love himself. Whenever I want to feel that special love connection I connect with him since he is the source.
hey, luz! good to see your comment. thank you. yes, amore, but you may appreciate that this is a love song to God. typically i don't use capitalized pronouns for God unless they start a sentence as an attempt to suggest the closeness and familiarity with God i feel and possible to all who look to and call on God. again, thanks. blessings! -glen
