Deserted Streets Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Deserted Streets

Walking along deserted streets looking out at the horizon in
the distance, rain splashing all around, washing away tears
that keep flowing from within lonely people on earth.

Walking slowly, never giving in, desperately keeping to a
flicker of hope still shining inside their hearts, hoping
against all hope that there will be someone to fill their
hearts with an unconditional love in the future.
