Desire Poem by Frederick Francis

Desire

We shall continue.
I have tasted it.
Romantic allure
Of forbidden fruit.
Continued despite reason
Above all normal logic.
Fueled by little more
Then morbid desire.

Desire escapes
Through muffled giggles
Pressed in the pillow.
Or leaping from your
Secreted side long glances.
Like light through dark, passing all
That easily could,
Grasping to what could not.

So lets keep quiet
And I will remain
Your silent mistake.
Waiting in shadow
Where the cloak of darkness can
Conceal these two hostages
Relentlessly held
By guilty desire.
