Desperate Bloke Poem by Mohamedkhadar Yussuf

The sight of the beautiful hijabs blown by the winds creates
Unnecessary urge and crave in him,
Years of restriction in far foreign land necessitating his mission of
‘I wanna smash it one time’,
His contention for any lass around making him a front liner
Among his age mates and friends.

His friends popping up topics of his never-ending antics of
Hijab chasing, citing the years he spent in the foreign land as the
Catalyst to his behaviour,
The desperation in him leaves him at the centre of an epic love rivalry
Drama,
Girls fighting each other because of his poor dating strategies,
Making them swear and tantrum not to believe and rely on this
Desperate bloke to keep them whole, to keep them sane!

Unmoved and unperturbed by all this drama, he spends hours and
Hours during the night chit-chatting and sexting with different women,
His roommates grimacing under their blanket unhappy about his long
Conversation and thinking of a way to do away with him,
His mission incomplete, he keeps on cursing and attacking innocent
Girls for avoiding him just because to them, he is the gentleman that
Never was and the desperate bloke who never settles!
