Desperation Poem by Libby Harvey

Desperation

She's starving for attention,
such a thing is an embarassment to mention.
what a sad, lonely soul.
weakness flows through her veins.
Right through her veins, pumping her heart.

It's such a crazy thing to hold virginity.
what a hard virtue to find.
Another moral left behind.
She goes along with the flashy trend.
Her weaknesses dropp to the floor,
and he has a great time.

She is running out of options.
The money is gone, her drugs are used.
Her pistol is loaded, but unable to fuse.
Falling to her knees, in deepest agony.
Crying histerically, pulling out a knife.
She carves an X, in the left of her breast.
a final cry for attention,
she whispers..in desparation.
X marks the spot, of my last inspiration.
