Destination Poem by Bireswar Halder

Destination

Human life is like a moving train,
It has to cross miles with great strain,
From his starting to ending station,
With many known and unknown relations.

During this long journey in our life,
Some find comfort and some strife,
When some achieve unexpected gains,
Others bear only grief and pain.

I met you in a very casual manner,
As a co-partner with lots of fun and humour.
Giving me guidance like a real philosopher,
Thinking your destination is coming nearer.

It is painful to leave you, my dear,
I know I have to miss you forever,
With your sweet memories, I must travel,
Till the end of my journey and the last bell.
