Devil In Disguise Poem by Leanna Page Markgraf

Devil In Disguise

Fool me once shame on me
but I came back again.
I thought you were different
I should've stopped before I began.

I should have trusted myself
but I trusted you instead.
Now I feel like I'm going crazy
stuck in my own head.

Your words tricked me
made me believe
that this time around
you wouldn't leave.

But as soon as I gave in
you showed me the real you.
Now I'm left wondering
why you do the things you do.

I have to admit
this one took me by surprise
I never expected you
to be the devil in disguise.
