thrown into a platform unfitting, pure luck to be at coveted place, applauds society high regard schooling, confusing every direction being in campus, defiant parent argued suitable age, courage needed to succeed he goaded, no prior prep brought up to stage, lost suffered most identity suppressed, aversion ruled means hard to cope, going through the motions missed prime, years passed failures piled faded hope, waited in vain illusive right time, learned the hard way different outlook, teaching uncovered hidden potential knock
