Dewdropp Jewels Poem by moon batchelder

Dewdropp Jewels

Rating: 5.0

tiny liquid jewels adorn
the silken spider's lace at dawn,
refracting brilliant rays,
-invisible-
until, by these transformed.

like
thoughts are gems at rest upon
the mind's riseau in early morn;
diamonds set ablaze,
-illumined-
by a moment with the soul.

Powerful description and great metaphor. I love your description of dew drops on spider webs being illuminated by the sun's rays and your comparison to thoughts illumined by a moment with the soul. Great write.
