Die For Something Poem by Frank Adie

Die For Something

Would you rather live for a hundred years and die for nothing?
Or live just a few years and die for something?
Look around you, and you would see something worth dying for;
No man has ever died for humanity in vain before.

A generation that does not leave their country a better place,
Would definitely leave a legacy of strife for their progenies;
Injustice contained with inaction, is justice dethroned by selfishness;
We must confront the challenges in this nation by paying the price for peace.

If the nursery of justice requires our blood,
We must water it thus, else we are doomed;
Every good thing comes with a price;
Nothing is achievable without sacrifice.

Arise O compatriots; stand up for justice, stand up for truth;
To be content with an unjust status quo, is to be complicit in perpetuating it;
Injustice cannot thrive where it is outrightly rejected;
Reject injustice, say no to corruption, stand up for truth; stand! Stand! ! Stand! ! !
