Dinner Tonight For Three Poem by Pamela lutwyche

Dinner Tonight For Three

There is a flicking candle and you are all aglow.
A table for two set with love by your hand.
I can see you there,
eating and talking the night away.

I am sitting on the wall,
just waiting for you to go.
When you do it’s my turn to eat,
for I am a fly.
Remember to wash your plates really good,
for if you don’t you will be ill,
and I will be here still.
