Humankind devises so many ways
To block its links with the invisible.
In modern times, this is increasing
Exponentially. The sacred is cast
Out of crass consumer driven temples.
Love itself is disfigured. Everything
Has become disposable. How do we
Resurrect the warmth of communion
In an age that worships only itself
Via mirrors? Do we dare to disturb
The prevailing lie that image is all.
Are we prepared to surrender and reach
Out for the tender embrace that connects
The I and Thou; that knows no boundaries?
