Disregarded Existence Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Disregarded Existence

Further away,
Technology creates...
Images to symbolize.
Idolized to worship.
For the purpose to market.
Making people thrilled...
Their presence is represented.
To acknowledge the doing,
By filling up pockets...
With cash overflowing.
Nonstop!
Stashed out of sight.
Locked and guarded.

Do these images created,
Provide sustaining benefits?
And...
To who receives them?
With a feeling to pursue,
A delusion to make true.
When a reality to live it,
Continues to be...
Marketed to produce,
Lives to live them fantasizing...
Approval and acceptance.
For money to be made.
And reality to disregard,
The truth, evidence and proof...
Of its existence!
