Distant Parallels

Now you and me go parallel together and apart
Like strangers, the lights went out and it’s dark.
Still hear you laugh still hear you sing,
And in this darkness, I saw your eyes spark green.
Like spring, you’ve brought some warmth,
You broke the ice, but did not want to swim.
