Do I Love You Enough Poem by David Knox

Do I Love You Enough

Do I love you enough?
To do what's best for you even when it's tough
MY love is more than actions or words can describe
But can i lay down my pride?
And all that I want... for you?
To do what's best even if that's not what you
Want even if it's not what I want too
I'll do it for you, I've decided my love is not something i flaunt
Not something i show, but it's sacrifice... for you all for you
That's why I did 'All That I Did' because...because... I love you
These words can't express what I feel but in a feeble attempt I love you so much
That I'd do such
I think I Love you enough to do the inconceivable
I love you enough to let you go
And refuse to show
Affection and love
Refuse to hold you and agree to cage this dove
I'll kill my love, because that's what's best
I'll slaughter my affection, although I love you more than all the rest...
Because sometimes love is sacrifice
Kind words do not suffice
It's more
My love is unconditional, willing to make my heart sore
Willing to hurt myself and let you go, even though I love you
Dear love of my life I'll let you go
Let us hope this does not cost my life
But my love is unconditional even when unrequited
Darling, I love you enough to let you go
