Do not adorn the page with illusion's lies;
let your verses blaze with the fire of truth.
Guard your poems from deceitful whispers,
for the word is sacred—a beacon, a guide.
Confront thy enemy, that cunning shadow,
Nafs—the false self— lurking within.
Do not crush it with hatred's weight,
but subdue it with the patience of sages.
For wisdom has shown, over time,
that mastery lies not in destruction,
but in transforming the foe into an ally—
a faithful servant bound by your will.
Beware! Even when your nafs slumbers—
it slumbers only in disguise—
awake as the bloodhound, lying in wait.
The eyes of nafs keen in the dark of ambush.
Know this: only a god can educate a dog—
to make it rise above its instinct to bite.
Yet, you hold within you a divine spark,
and through sagacity and enduring love—
you can tame even the wildest wolf.
Through your truth, let the nafs be calmed.
Through your song, let it learn devotion.
In your hands, let the untamed beast bow,
not through chains, but through understanding.
For the poet, like the sage, wields magic—
the alchemy of words, the power of wisdom.
So rise above illusion's traps, to get free,
and let your verses transform the world—
around you.
