Do Not Cry If I Die Poem by Arun Maji

Do Not Cry If I Die

Rating: 5.0

do not cry, do not cry if I die
you look no beautiful with tears in your eye.

who says- I would leave you?
I shall stay with and within you.
seven seas apart, I shall still be with you
death apart, I shall still be with you.

as wind, I shall care you
as fragrance, I shall enchant you
as a bird, I shall sing you
as a dew drop, I shall stare at you.

do not cry, do not cry if I die
you look no beautiful with tears in your eye.

when you are alone, by bank of a river-
as a happy white dove, I shall be there.
I shall sing, jump and dance
and free you from sorrow and penance.

but would you recognise me then?
would you keep staring at me then?
would you hold me close and kiss me then?

hold me, hold me close and tight
with all your love and might.
hold me soft, loving and tender
with your heart's joy and laughter.

do not cry, do not cry if I die
you look no beautiful with tears in your eye.
