Oh, please! Do not neglect your gift, to do what God calls good.
Nor let it fall, nor fade, or drift from blessings that you could.
A pilgrim knows the vanities this tainted world can give,
Distracting from great things that please and help the spirit live.
Good works abound when Grace abounds, and this God still supplies,
Words of wisdom and pleasant sounds in hymns that still surprise.
Amazing Grace, shared by a child, can bless the oldest man,
Such that he can get reconciled and understand God's plan.
To see the Saviour's love anew, though Easters came and went,
To gently preach, Christ died for you, for He was Heaven-sent.
Reflect on signs and wonders, friends, and talents God provides.
Our faith in these sometimes depends. They serve as constant guides.
So, please! Do not neglect your gift. Just do what God calls good,
Who knows what sorrows you may lift when you do what you should?
