Do Not Say Allah Has No Need Of Me Poem by Mohammad Younus

Do Not Say Allah Has No Need Of Me

Do not say Allah has no need of me—
His breath shaped my soul by divine decree.
If this vessel of clay had no true design,
Why mold it with love, with hands so divine?
That I thirst for Him is His will made clear—
Servant and Lord, one in unity near.
No being moves except by His command,
All fade in His gaze, yet none cease to stand.
The moth is not foolish to seek the flame,
For even the fire whispers, 'Come unto me.'
The river must rush to the ocean's embrace,
For the tide calls it home to the boundless sea.
What is prayer but the soul's deep sigh?
What is fate but His whispered reply?
The rose does not bloom for its own delight,
But exhales His fragrance in humble flight.
Gaze in the mirror of nothingness—see!
All but His face is illusion, MyKoul—flee!
