*do You Believe In True Love? I Believe In Emo Lust - Poem by Christopher's Dead

What’s the meaning of this?
The meaning of all these selfish lies
That we keep bottled up inside
So hard to hide
So hard to find a reason that we keep screwing tonight
Harder to hide the truth when the lie is so hard
Keep your hands clenched tight against the sides
Of the sheets of the bed as my fingers meet tight
White wet right love? as you get from the sight
Of the guy who played the phantom of the opera

Here we go from the get go go get her
Tell her that you love her like you love that tight sweater on her
Write her love poems, buy her flowers as the pedals wither
Watch her send them back to you with her love inside letters
Touch her make her scream as you gleam, you don’t know better
Make her lose her voice ‘cause she has never had better
Do it as you know you’ll never have one like her ever
And ‘cause I know I’ll miss her touch, everything, forever

So I face the facts
I’m a sucker for a girl who asks
Me to love her back
So hard to mask
So hard not to give her what she wants, she’s got what I lack
Harder to hold back ‘cause you know I like a challenge
Only wish I could’ve kept my heart on track
Everything I do now is to keep myself in tact
On her back eyes closed at waiting for the last
Memory that I have of this to disappear

Do you know
Where the good times go?
Why it feels so cold in the snow
When your heart is on fire?
These things
Make lustful dreams
Even when all the love it seems
Like you feel it’s gonna last
High tide
Let the planes fly by
Shift your voice toward the sky
Just before you start to drown
In her voice
And her body lies there beside you
But it’s just not worth it
