Dodging Poem by Randy McClave

Dodging

He dodged the draft
At captured POWS he laughed,
He said he didn't respect those that were caught
Death they should have sought.
The military he cowardly evaded
While our soldiers he insulted and degraded,
For our country and our democracy he didn't want to fight
But, against it wanted to overthrow it that one night.

He dodged when he says that he is a Christian
To the teachings of Christ he doesn't listen,
He constantly lies and cheats and cons for fun
Forgiveness, he has never asked from the Son.
He don't go to church
And he can't or won't recite one Bible verse,
But, he sold and signed Bibles instead
Though in one he has never believed or read.

He dodged the truth when he said that he is not a racist
He answers that on every list,
But, he hates immigrants and also blacks
In the past he pushed for racial attacks.
He says that he's done more for blacks than Lincoln
That got me to thinkin',
He said he hated it when black guys were counting his money
As laziness is a trait in blacks which he believed wasn't funny.

He dodged it when he said he has the highest intellect
So, his genius everyone should always respect,
And he has said that he knows everything
And about his fabled genius to all he will boast and sing.
He said he was the most outstanding student at home and at school
Even though his own sister says he's just a fool,
He has bragged on his intelligence for many decades
But, he won't ever show anyone his school grades.
