Does It Really Matter How Much You Love?
Does it really matter how much you love,
If it is not returned?
Or how hard your heart may beat for her,
If she your love has spurned?
Does it really matter how much you love,
If it is not reciprocated?
If with a few choice words she has,
The beating of your heart abated.
It matters not how much, you love someone,
But how much others love you.
That is the way (as all men know)
To keep your heart from being blue.
