Dogfight Poem by Dorsey Baker

Dogfight

Rating: 5.0

Sometimes from a fight
You can back away
But sometimes you must
Fight to the death
Give everything that you've got
Until you ain't
Got nothing left

When it's war
Somebody got to win
Somebody got to lose
Somebody will celebrate
Somebody will sing the blues

It's a real bloody dog fight
When no dog
Backs down
It's such an ugly thing
See all the blood
Splattered upon the ground

When man walks down
A dead end street
Darkness lurks all around
Man thirst for war
Because the demons tell him
To do so
In a moment of weakness
Man becomes a slave to his ego
