Domestic Reality Poem by Raymond Farrell

Domestic Reality

Uniting
On one precedent
Divorcing
On another
But in the beginning
Romantic overtones
Of never and forever
Then often
A number of children
Are born
In the end
A angry bitter
Never again forever
In the midst of all this
Two frail human beings
Tossed to and fro
Before finally
Drifting apart.
