In the darkness i did sit upon my bed i did not fit,
Behind the door the sounds did come of screams and bangs it wasn't fun,
My mothers crys were harsh to hear as i sat there and covered my ears,
And as they burst through the door the pain she felt as he poured,
Another hand to her face, another foot in its place,
They was hard and they come fast her frail body would not last,
When he finished his beating bash her tiny body just collapsed,
Scared and confused i didn't no what to do,
As his hand hit my face i tryed to protect without trace,
The pain she felt was evident then the ringing and throbbing i wish would end,
When he left i ran 2 her she was there upon the floor,
Blood had covered the carpet around I thought she was dead she didn't make a sound,
I was young only five but i really hoped she was alive,
What happened next i dont recall my soul just wants to forget it all,
i was young but i still remember i was scared of all that terror! ! !

WOW...heart-wrenching and vivid descriptions of brutality as seen through the eyes of a child...a well-crafted poem...the reader can feel the pain...
