Don't Do It Yourself Poem by Alan Sandham

Don't Do It Yourself

Rating: 5.0

When I attempt some home repair
I find Incompetence lives there.

He skulks and sulks to my despair,
Lurks by my uneasy chair,
All confidences robbing,
As I'm reduced to sobbing.

To screw the bolt or twist the nut,
To fill the hole or make the cut,
Requires a better mind,
Of the tried and tested kind.

So let me make this clear to you,
Just as the air is turning blue,
Your trust is best invested
In one who's tried and tested.
