Don't Let America Down Poem by Hebert Logerie

Don't Let America Down

In spite of everything that you've heard about America
Over the last years, we should not let America down
My late father loved this melting pot of tchaka, soda
Fry, hamburger, hotdog, homerun and touchdown.

Many rapscallions think that America belongs to them
Please ignore those fools. They can go back where
Their parents came from, if they don't want to share
America. Only the Native Americans have a legitimate claim
To kick anybody out, unfortunately, they are condemned
In their reserves. Some crazy dudes have brain-washed them
They gave them too much rums and let them inhale and smoke
Too much grass. Leave the poor Indians alone. Do not poke…

Don't let America down. America (herself)is not stupid and racist
We know who they are. They can be seen in the news all the time
Spewing racist epithets on the screen. It ought to be a biased crime
When a jerk verbally attacks, for no apparent or valid reason, a pacifist.
