Don'T Let Go - Poem by Abdullah Ramadan

I want to be your rock
The steady anchor at sea
Just grab hold of my hand
Just trust me

Why do you look so bleak
Why do you hold such mistrust
What did they do to harm you
No, I'll protect you

I will show you light again
I will teach you to trust again
Just grab hold, don't let go
Don't keep your head down so low

We will weather this storm,
Just like the others, together
We will hold back the wind
Just like before, with each other

Don't let go, hold on tight
We'll find what's right
Just, don't let go
Not again, no
