Don`t Play With Fire Poem by Bireswar Halder

Don`t Play With Fire

That's fire, one of most powerful elements on the earth
It's wise to keep off and be alert to handle it carefully
The dazzling flames attract like mirage to a thirsty traveller
It shows colourful dreams to moths for jumping on to it.

Don't be crazy to ignite its flames wildly, inflammable as it is
As it tends to turn everything into ashes - no escape
If you may escape fortunately, scars of burn make the life miserable
Don't play with it callously; the cute face may turn ugly forever.

Flames do never love whoever comes near it - so dangerous
No mercy even to an innocent child - leave aside the adult or the wise
Don't get wounded, nobody likes disintegrated petals of rose
Before stepping ahead, think about reality and not any dreams.

Don't look at dazzling flames continuously as you love it
It has power to damage your beautiful eyes permanently
You can enjoy its beauty keeping yourself far away
Be practical and not emotional - be righteous and not impetuous.

Be careful about the fate of firewood - they burn ceaselessly
And invite you to bear the burning sensation like them
Don't be puzzled and trapped - judge very scrupulously
Don't get prompted by sweet dreams of the beguiling flames.
