So you did, just like when your mam said
Don’t go near the fire you’ll get burnt
Said there’s a ghost in the cellar but wernt
Don’t speak with your mouthful but you often do
And the tablecloths now stained with splashes of stew
Don’t tell lies your nose will grow longer
Eat your crusts your hair will grow stronger
But it didn’t and it hasn’t and you’ve just gone bald
And the tablecloth now looks like ants have just crawled
Pull up your socks it doesn’t look smart
But her words of wisdom didn’t sink in the heart
You’ve grown old and tired with no money in the bank
Didn’t wash behind ears and your socks always stank
Dad said be honest don’t tell me a lie
And you thought you knew better and gave it a try
Now folks don’t know if you’re joking or not
You can’t say what you mean your tongue’s in a knot
You can’t even remember how you started with lies
And how you slipped from the world in disguise
And now inside you’re on your own
Coz you didn’t listen to mum when she said leave it alone
Don’t eat all them sweets your teeth will dropp out
When buying Steradent you now have to shout,
'coz you didn’t believe her.

This reads like a regular whodunnit. You must have been a very naughty but an enterprising child...(are still?) . And talk about curiousity and what it did to the cats...! Cheers. Subroto
I was not intending to, read this I mean, but being April Fools day the PC played a trick on me and here I am....now grinning like a cheshire I am, the cat variety...now you can see why the PC has control over me....You never disappoint -Brilliant, Cindy
