Don'T Take It For Granted Poem by Amber Peterson

Don'T Take It For Granted

When God gave us his only son
He did it for everyone
Why do you take that for granted?
Don't you see all the seeds you could have planted?

He gave his life
To stop the worldly strife.
But no one cares
They just go have their affairs.

He lived in perfection
And that is showed when he died out of affection
He died out of his love for us.
And still you go around and cuss?

He went through the pain
And you go do cocaine?
Don't you see what he did for you?
And still few of you are actually true.

Nailed down on a cross
Is that all a loss?
A crown of thorns placed on his head
Where there should have been gold and jewels instead.

He deserves glory
It's not just a story.
He displayed his love on that piece of wood
And you try to act like a "gansta in the hood"? !

Why won't you listen?
Don't you see all the love that's been given?
It's a choice
Don't ignore his voice.

Just because he'll always forgive
Doesn't mean you should just live the life you always live.
Make a difference
Don't live in ignorance.

Don't you want to say you made a change?
Even if people think you're a little "strange"
It's up to you.
The love you owe him is overdue.
