I Just May Be Poem by Amber Peterson

I Just May Be

Rating: 3.5

I sit and listen
just an innocent bystander.
I hear the conversations
but nobody knows.
I wait for someone, anyone to see
I'm more than just a shadow.
I am me.

I try to reach you
but you don't notice.
I wonder when I'll be seen
or if I never will be.
I wait for a single person to see,
I'm not invisible.
I am me.

I sit.
I listen.
I hear.
I wait.
I try.
I wonder.
and I wait more.
Am I invisible?
I just may be.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I sat down at my computer and just started typing...I didn't really know what I was going to write so I just let my mind wander and this is what I came up with. I was inspired by my friend who before she went to church and met God this is exactly how she felt and I wanted to see if I could write out what she was feeling.
