Do not try to tell me
What I shouldn't do
When you did not sit and listen
When I asked you to

I tried to explain the reason
I tried so hard not to lie
But still you will not understand
Why it is I cry

Please just stop and listen
Don't tell me it is wrong
And I will try to undo
The lies I kept so long

Don't tell me life get's better
Don't say it'll be okay
Because you didn't listen
To everything I have to say...

I'm not the person you thought I was
Not the person I seemed to be
I hid myself away from you
Because I don't know the real me
