Don't Come Too Close Poem by Rowland Howells Ibifiri Orumbie

Don't Come Too Close

Rating: 5.0

Don't come too close
You might stumble on cracks,
Tears marks on my face and
Trauma tracks of pain.
Do not dare look too closely
You might see me dressed fully
In the dark regalia of my past
And lose the twinkling light
Of your little star
Do not stir any closer my dear
You might get scared away
By my scars
Ferociously frightened by my flaws.
I advice, you admire from afar
For I am far from perfect
But I look perfect from afar
