Don't cry for me
For I have left this pain
My soul is now free
From this earthly chain
I know it may hurt
To see my empty seat
But I've journeyed to a place
Where love and joy will meet.
Don't cry for me
For I am not alone
I'm surrounded by beauty
In a place I now call home
Though you may feel sorrow
And your tears may fall
Please know that I am at peace
Heeding Heaven's call
I may no longer be with you
In body, but in spirit I remain
Watching over each and every one
Guiding you through life's terrain.
So don't cry for me,
Instead, celebrate my life
For I have lived and loved
And overcome all strife
Remember me with laughter
And cherish all we've shared
For in your hearts, I'll forever be
A memory that will never be impaired.
Don't cry for me, dear ones
For I have found my rest
Hold me close within your thoughts
And know that I am blessed.
