Down In Our Valley Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

Down In Our Valley

Where flowers grew,
When sunshine shone,
Upon the mountains,
Days now gone.
When summer days
seemed different then,
If only,
To go back again.
When all we had,
Was love for life,
No fancy things,
That all seemed right.
Oh precious days,
I miss them so,
Those winter months,
Our cheeks aglow,
Upon the mountainside we'd go.
Looking down at life and love,
To our precious valley from above.
