Many saw a swamp that others didn't see
Many didn't see the swamp, but me,
We were told of the dangerous creatures living there
And oddly enough many didn't care.
Many screamed that the swamp must get drained
And all the creatures must be contained,
But, many didn't want that swamp drained at all
They wanted it to sprawl.
Many fed the hideous creatures on a daily basis
Many saw the swamp as an oasis,
And they wanted to protect those hideous creatures
Because, they enjoyed their features.
The hue of the swamp was a mixture of orange and red
That was were those hideous creatures were fed,
The stench from it could smelled from miles around
And usually that's where the liars and ignorant were bound.
Some fed the creatures with their racism and hate
And also with their bigotry to equate,
They fed them also with their wealth and greed
Evil to them they did constantly feed.
Then when they drained the swamp low enough to look
Many then threw away their hook,
After they saw the hideous creatures residing therein
They then happily accepted their sin.
