I awoke from a dream in which I had died.
Gasping for air I sobbed and cried.
Left with a sense of foreboding and dread.
Unsure if I was alive or dead.
I escaped from a dream in which my life had ceased.
Crying for help my panic increased
Wondering if I was now awake.
I felt myself start to tremble and quake.
I fled from a nightmare so vividly real.
I ran away from the pain and strife.
Though I'm not sure I begin to see.
This is the dream and that was my life.
