Dream - Poem by Silver Akira

I sit in the window,
Looking out to see the world,
With a child’s curiosity,
Shadows sneak and creep in the distance,
Bringing the sound of soft footsteps behind me,
I feel two arms wrap around my waist,
I smile and see your face,
The eye in the storm,
My heart,
My life,
All of a sudden my eyes snap open and reality sinks in,
Your not there it’s nothing but a far away dream.
I know better than anyone dreams never come,
True it’s nothing but a lie,
Spoken to little children,
To give them faith in something that doesn’t exist.

Wonderful wording, simply a grand poem. How we dream about things we want. (Report)Reply

Dear Akira.I smile and see your face,
The eye in the storm, My heart, My Life.
