Dream No Such Land Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Dream No Such Land

Rating: 4.3

O noble soul, dream such holy land
Where rules foe but only friends
Think of no rich or poor
But only peaceful neighbor

It is foolish man’s dream
Where sun fails to throw the beam
It is just dreamy land
Where only cunning can lay hand

Power corrupts people
Absolute power corrupts struggle
Cat tops may mushroom within no time
The power may then be used to commit the crime

Many religious heads call upon open hatred
“Annihilate the enemy “on the name of holy “Jihad”*
Where will end such bitterness and hatred?
Where are they going to take us and lead?

Hopeless people have nothing to eat
Many countries suffer game of love and hate
Color, cast and race dominate the scene
The bloodshed of such nature is never seen

African blood is no black in color
White blood is no white with dishonor
The death should not be praised in any form
“The door of heavenly home is opened for fighters” is ill informed

Dream of no such land
That may make you alien in motherland
Create awareness from within
Then only you may find heavenly scene

Who are this people with gun point at us?
We wanted them our leaders with trust
Now they have turned against and rule mercilessly
We have no option but watch helplessly

*Jihad… holy war
