Dreaming Poem by Madeline Fazio

Dreaming

She comes from a broken home
Fighting is all she knows
She hides her scars from the world
No one knows the pain she holds
People see her smiling face and never would suspect
The hell that she must live in
Underneath her smile there's frown
Peope think she's shy because she walks her head down
When all she's really doing is trying to hide her tears
Everyday she wears a mask
But once shes home it must come off
Dealing with these issues surely isn't easy
She hides away in her room
Dreaming of a happy place
But dreaming only lasts so long
