Dreams - Poem by Douglas Felker
Into the night I go
what I dream up I'll never know
of dragons and flagons of ale?
of a lonely knights strange tale?
perhaps Adrift on an aimless dark sea?
unsure of the fate to befall me
slipping closer, still closer, to insanity
where I drift few would dare
deeper, sinking further, into the nightmare
past sunny streams or dreary lakes
I'll never know the delusions my mind makes
