Dreams' Clashes Poem by Marilyn Jean

Dreams' Clashes

Two years almost to the day
I wrote about the dream that had gone
Yet they still visit me here
Often and again last night
They return announcing you soon will too
Here we are, I move towards you, all smile
To greet you after a few months
I try to give you a friends' hug
Maybe a kiss or two, saying how happy
I see in your eyes you are against it
So instead, I offer my hand for a shake
Grabbing me you pull me gently and kiss me
I am so surprised and so happy, I wake up
Soon after rising for the day, coming down
Hear that I was not the only one dreaming
I am always mean in his dreams, I pushed away
These dreams picture our past like memories
He keeps telling them to me, how cruel
Telling he sees me, that am I pushing him away
I do not comment, I cannot
But, I do not tell my dreams ever in return
How could I say,
That someone else is pulling me and that I love it
That, in my dreams it is always you
