Drinking Away My Sorrows - Poem by olivia gendron

Forgetting memories, forgetting the past
That's what I attempt to do on a daily bases
The alcohol helps from time to time
But I never completely forget
Since you left, I can't make it
Why did you have to go?
And leave me behind?
I try to remember that you're no
longer in love with me
But I'm dying without you
I try to drown my sorrows
I try to drink them away
You're always in my mind
Your hair, your laugh, your smile
I see you when I close my eyes
I see you when I'm awake
You left me all alone
Im without your love
So here I am
Drinking
Drowning my sorrows
Longing for you
Longing to hold you once again
