Drooling Demon Poem by Joshua Adeyemi

Drooling Demon

Rating: 5.0

when at first I met you
I thought Utopia was here
but then you unveiled your rule
by which my love was speared
such emotions seeped in pain,
damp dexterity, sacred sway

you said you'll be always there
pruning my patience, soothing stance
like bounty breeze's to pulpy pear
but then did you lend me a trance
callous consciousness enveloped:
drooling demon in angel's robe

Heaven is for Angel, Hell for devil
but you brought hell to me: made civil.
