Drops Of Comfort Poem by Jessica Pumphrey

Drops Of Comfort

The wetness covers my skin
Little by little, dropp by drop
I could lay down in this forever
I look to the sky and beg it not to stop
Each little one falls on a mission
To clear away my thoughts in every addition
It washes away my tears
And gently clears my sight
It's warm and cold, the perfect right
So i'll just lay here and wish with all my might
That this beautiful rain will last with me through the night
And maybe I relate in the strangest of ways
But like the rain, I have no where to stay
Landing where ever they want me to lay
Not really feeling as I hit the ground hard
Them not really caring if this heart starts to part
Sometimes they want me, most times they say
Just leave me alone, I'm busy, go away
But rain, oh rain, If you only knew
I know how you feel, through and through
Your my only comfort and to me this is true
I beg you to stay, don't go, don't stray, just move
