Drugs Ain't Food Poem by Teddy Gawuga

Drugs Ain't Food

Rating: 5.0

Time is wasted
Respect and Self-esteem are destroyed
The Urge of "I want More"
Would one day maybe turn to "He's no more"

Why Should drugs be abused?
Do you want to get off the emotional stress?
Heal the past
And focus on what life got to offer.

I've got a slight headache, I've got tummy upset
Someone get me an aspirin
Who prescribed it
I'm asking WHO?

Let's live a drug-free life
The youths are the leaders of tomorrow
Let's join in one accord
Say No To Drug Abuse.

An insightful piece of poetry set aside for sober reflection. The social and health decay caused by drug abuse are aptly captured in poem. Well thought out and nicely crafted with conviction. Thanks for sharing Teddy.
